Our carefully screened and supervised apprentices come to us from The Doe Fund's award-winning Ready, Willing & Able program, a lifesaving, life transforming program that helps men who are formerly homeless, formerly incarcerated, and who are United States veterans change their lives through work training, skills building and other essential services.  

When they return to the workforce, they're equipped with all the skills necessary not only be outstanding, productive employees.  They are also better parents, citizens, and role models within their communities. 

Every visit from the highly trained Pest at Rest team benefits the New York City metro area in two ways: We keep the places where we live and work cleaner and safer, and we provide the experience and training necessary to become productive members of society.

Training

Pest at Rest invests more than any of our competitors in training technicians and applicators. 

Our team is always on the forefront of the most innovative technologies and environmentally responsible pest-control practice. 

While all pest control technicians and applicators are required by the state to complete training hours each year, our employees are given the freedom, financial support and are encouraged to continuously take courses offering new licenses and approaches to pest control.
